From a ruin in the Italian countryside to a welcoming home for travelers from around the world.

Il Borghetto began in 2013 as a family dream.
We come from Belgium, but we are of Italian origin (some of us), so we decided to move to Italy in search of a better life — closer to nature, culture and the warmth of the Italian way of living.

We fell in love with the region of ‘Le Marche’, with its landscapes, its people and its cibo.
We found a ruin in Montedinove.
Where others saw an old building, we saw possibility — and an incredible view.

As a family, we began rebuilding it with our own hands, in collaboration with local companies.

Thanks to our expertise and experience in construction, passed down from father to son — and thanks also to the energy and involvement of the whole family, the project slowly took shape.

Every holiday.
Every free weekend.
Stone after stone.
Wall after wall.

There have been challenges and sacrifices along the way, events that knocked us down but we have always moved forward together.

What was initially intended to be our family home gradually became, by necessity, something more.
We felt the desire to open our doors — to create an agritourism and share this place with others.

After 13 years of work in our field, Il Borghetto can now welcome you with its 6 guest rooms.
